This has been the worst winter I have ever spent up here, no question about it.  Presently, 575,000 people in SE Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware are without power due to a massive ice storm last night.  Trees are down everywhere. They hope to restore the power by the weekend (This only Wednesday). That means that everybody’s inside home temperature will dwindle down to about 45-50 degrees by about Friday.  Michele and I happen to have a propane generator, a working fireplace with a fan-blowing insert, and enough stacked firewood to build Noah’s Ark.  But I feel really bad for our neighbors.   They’ll be sleeping in jackets and sweat pants.  Oh, for spring to arrive .
